Azab 100 (Azithromycin) is an antibacterial drug for sale in our store with a broad spectrum effect. There are numerous infections that can be treated with the macrolide antibiotic, including tonsillitis, sinusitis, and urethritis. Azithromycin dihydrate (at a concentration of 100 mg of azithromycin), anhydrous lactose, croscarmellose sodium, anhydrous colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, maize starch, potassium, and hypromelose are the ingredients that make up one tablet of the antibiotic. It is used in bodybuilding to stop skin infections that lead to steroid acne.

Effects of Azithromycin

Azithromycin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic. When it builds up in the inflammatory focus in high concentrations, it has a bactericidal effect. Because of its lipophilicity and stability in an acidic environment, this preparation is readily absorbed from the digestive tract.  After an average of 2.5 hours, the blood plasma’s highest concentration reaches 0.4 mg/l. It has a 37% bioavailability.

The respiratory system, epidermis, soft tissues, and tissues and organs of the urogenital tract are all easily penetrated by Azithromycin (especially the prostate gland). Azithromycin has a reasonably long half-life and achieves a suitably high concentration in tissues due to its low affinity for blood plasma proteins, capacity to enter eukaryotic cells, and localization in the low pH area around lysosomes. The drug’s capacity to concentrate in lysosomes has a direct impact on the removal of intracellular microorganisms. Following delivery to the infection sites, Azithromycin is released during phagocytosis. The drug’s concentration is significantly higher where the infection is present than it is in healthy tissues, and it also depends on how much inflammatory edema is there. It should be highlighted that the drug has no discernible impact on phagocyte activity.

The ability to maintain bactericidal concentrations in the inflammatory focus for five to seven days after the previous dose allowed for the development of brief treatment cycles lasting three to five days. Phases make up the drug’s removal from blood plasma. The half-life is 14 to 20 hours, and it lasts from 8 to 24 hours after the drug administration. The second stage lasts for 41 hours between 24 and 72 hours. So, this drug can only be used once daily. Another benefit of the drug is that consumers tolerate it far better than the penicillin family (macrolides are considered the least toxic antibiotics).

Azithromycin usage methods

One tablet is taken orally each day, either two hours before or one hour after meals. Adults are recommended 500 mg the first day and 250 mg the following days for infections of the respiratory tract, skin (steroid acne), and soft tissues (2 to 5 days). Additionally, a dosage plan of 500 mg every three days is acceptable.

If the admission was missed for any reason, the following dose is administered as soon as this situation is realized, and further doses are administered every 24 hours.

When using azithromycin and antacids at the same time, the gap between doses should be at least two hours.
